WIC Women, Infants and Children - Opportunities for Otsego
Provides supplemental food, health care referrals and nutrition education to income eligible pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, and children up (birth up to five yrs). Fathers may apply on behalf of their eligible children. Grandparents may apply on behalf of eligible grandchildren in their care. In addition to distributing checks to purchase nutritious food and Farmer's Market coupons, WIC offers specialized support to breastfeeding mothers and referrals to community services. 
Serves: NY - Otsego County;
Eligibility: Income eligible pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, and children up to age 5. Income guideline is 185% current Federal Poverty Level (2017 - household of 4 can earn up to $44,955 annually.)

Intake Process: Application.
Documents Required: Proof of the following: identity for applicants only, household income, residential address and proof of pregnancy if applicable
Languages Offered: English and over 200 others via telephone translation service English, Spanish
